What would happen if...

Here's your scenario for today:  If you need instructions, please look at the "Wednesday" tab in the left column.  Good luck and let's have some fun....

What would happen if...your favorite book could be made into a movie?  Which book would you choose and who would you select for the role of the lead characters?

  1. Oh I've done this.... Sat here with a friend and cast the movie of the book.
The Portal Between: Lily is played by Emma Thompson, Sam by Miranda Raisen, Kate by Julie Graham and Jack by James Purefoy. But If Emma's not available Gillian Anderson could be Lily. Annie Lennox will be writing at least that key song that plays over the credits, and possibly more of the soundtrack too.

    I'm sure they'll all agree....

  2. Wow, that's a hard one. I'm going to have to think about it today and get back with you. I know I would choose The Gifts, but I'm out of the loop on actors so I'll have to do some research.

  3. I know...it's time to put our thinking caps on. I had to do the same thing when I was asked. But, I loved the question.

  4. Well, I would choose Four Years from Home with Tom Ryan played by a young Dustin Hoffman. I considered Woody Allen, but, I dunno. LOL

  6. Val, I finally made it to the site. . . only to be met by a really tough 'what if.' I think I'd select my book, The China-Africa Parallax (Vanity, vanity . . .), starring Tom Selleck as Ryan and Toni Braxton as Gillian.

  9. This was my response for Sibel Hodge's question when she posed it during an interview.

I think most Authors see their books as a movie…in their heads, at least. For “The Gift of Joy” I’d love to see Kate Bosworth play the role of Joy and Eric Bana play the role of Gabe. I know there’s an age disparity, but it’s my movie…right? And I do love him LOL
